OUTLOOK: Only the second Georgia wrestler to join the Tiger team in five years, freshman Dorian Henderson will compete at the 174 pound weight class and see action in numerous tournaments throughout the course of his season. "Dorian is the type of wrestler that people are going to stop and watch," Head Coach Brian Smith said. "He has amazing speed and athleticism on the mat. He's only wrestled for four years, but they were a very successful four years in high school. Dorian still has a lot to learn in order to transition into the collegiate style of wrestling, but our staff expects him to pick up the necessary developmental skills quickly. He'll be exciting to watch as the season wears on."

HIGH SCHOOL: Henderson was a three-time state champion at Columbus High School in Georgia (2005, 2006, 2007) and wrestled at 171 pounds. A member of the Blue Devil squad coached by Larry Morgan, Henderson's team earned the Georgia State title his junior campaign (2006) finishing runner up in 2005. Competing at Senior Nationals in 2007, Henderson finished fourth overall. Henderson later took fourth in Greco and eighth in Freestyle competition in Fargo, N.D. For his work on the mat, Henderson was the recipient of the Dave Shultz award for Georgia. Henderson received nine letters in high school as a member of the wrestling, football and track and field teams. Additionally, Henderson was named Bi-City Athlete of the Year in 2007.

PERSONAL: The son of Earnest and Esther Robbins, Dorian was born Oct. 29, 1988, in Columbus, Ga. Henderson has two siblings, Lenzy (17) and Jaremiah (14). Henderson is undecided on a major.
